Dog friendly places and poop

All in all almost everwhere we have been has been dog friendly. The National parks have surprised me. Almost all are dog friendly and people LOVE the dogs.

Everywhere we go people stop to pet them or at least walk by and say "those are some good looking goods" or "they are really pretty". Kinda nice.

Grand Canyon was very dog friendly and we were able to take the dogs out of the car at each view point and take pictures. It was cute. Montezuma was very dog friendly too, we even took them on the walking tour.

Arches was not so dog friendly, but we were able to have them in the parking lots, just not on trails.

All of the campsites and even the hotels we stayed in were very dog friendly. Minus the jerk from the one place in Vegas.

And that brings me to poop. If you have a dog, for crying out loud pick up it's poop. I don't want to step in it and I don't want my dog to sniff it. Those idiots give other dog owners a bad name. While in Vegas at hotel #2, Ike took the girls out for a last potty of the night (well actually morning, but whatever) and managed to step in, not one, but two piles of poop while wearing my flip flops....nice.

I even pick up the dogs poop when there is no way anyone will EVER step in it. We were at this rest stop somewhere along our travels and we took the girls to potty. The entire place was completly strewn with trash. It was everywhere and it was disgusting. The girls finally went and I picked up the poop admist all the trash and debris. Ike looked at me like he couldn't believe that I was making the effort to pick through the trash to pick up the poop. But hey, we left it, we pick it up. If more people had that mentality, there would be less road side trash. Just my thoughts.
